Uganda’s Health Ministry on Tuesday registered 449 new COVID-19 cases in the six-day period through Monday, taking the national tally to 38,534.

A total of 322 new recoveries were recorded in the East African country, bringing the nationwide recoveries to 13,405, the statement said.

The ministry did not release daily updates for the last six days due to the internet shutdown during the presidential and parliamentary elections.

So far, Uganda has registered a cumulative number of 305 deaths, including one in the same period.
