JOHANNESBURG – South Africa needs emergency energy right now to deal with a power crisis, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Thursday.

South Africa is battling the worst electricity outages on record implemented by state utility Eskom, meaning some households and businesses are without power for more than 10 hours a day.
