Kenya records 223 new cases of COVID-19, total caseload at 99,082

Kenya’s health ministry on Saturday reported 223 new COVID-19 infections, taking the country’s total caseload to 99,082.

Minister of health Mutahi Kagwe said the latest figures were recorded after 7,748 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Kagwe also said that two more patients had succumbed to the virus raising the death toll to 1,728.

The health minister also said that 129 more COVID-19 patients had recovered, raising the total number of recovered to 82,324, of these, 115 were treated at home and 14 in hospital.
