5.0-magnitude earthquake strikes eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 87 km southwest of Kabare, Democratic Republic of the Congo at 08:54 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 3.0818 degrees south latitude and 28.2625 degrees east longitude.
