Determine Girls FC defeated US Parcelles Assainies of Senegal 1-0 in Monrovia to be crowned WAFU A champions. It will be the Liberian side’s first appearance in the competition.

Meanwhile, Wadi Degla FC beat Tunisia’s Banque de l’Habitat 2-0 in Agadir, Morocco, to emerge victorious in the North Africa (UNAF) qualifying tournament.

Three other teams have already qualified for the final tournament which will be played in Morocco in October and November.

Moroccan League champions, AS FAR Football Club, qualified automatically as the hosts of the tournament while the Green Buffaloes of Zambia qualified as winners of the South Africa (COSAFA) qualifiers. Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, winners of the inaugural title, also automatically qualify for the finals.

Sundowns finished as runners-up in the COSAFA qualifiers but Green Buffaloes would have still qualified for the tournament even if Sundowns won the qualifiers.

Three more teams can qualify for the Champions League as the remaining zonal qualifiers – West Africa (WAFU B), Central Africa (UNIFFAC) and East Africa (CECAFA) – are yet to be concluded.
